WANP CE Webinar: Preventing and Reversing CKD ~ Eric Yarnell, ND, RH(AHG)
March 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm PDT$35 – $65
Join us for this evening webinar in honor of National Kidney Month!
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an extremely common syndrome (not a disease). This talk will review ways to proactively screen for CKD and the crucial need to identify the cause of the problem (including when to recommend a kidney biopsy and imaging) and prevent/treat that. The problems with eGFR and how to correct them (including using creatinine clearance testing) will be detailed. The lack of conventional options for preventing and reversing most cases of CKD, and the ample naturopathic options, particularly nephroprotective/regenerative herbs, will be presented. Case studies will be used to highlight effective naturopathic treatment of diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, and FSGS in particular – all common causes of CKD.
Eric Yarnell, ND, RH(AHG) (Bastyr ’96) has been in practice 24 years and is assistant clinical researcher at Bastyr University, chief medical officer at Northwest Naturopathic Urology, president of Heron Botanicals, and CEO of Red Root Pharmaceuticals. He focuses on urology and nephrology in his practice. He is recipient of the 2014 AANP Vis Award, the 2018 and 2020 NMSA faculty of the year awards, and the 2020 GastroANP lifetime achievement (Borborygmus) award. He is author of numerous articles and textbooks including Natural Approach to Urology 2nd ed, Natural Approach to Prostate Conditions 2nd ed, Natural Approach to Gastroenterology 2nd ed, and the forthcoming Naturopathic Nephrology.
